Senior Portraits
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your session includes the formal portrait that we will submit to the yearbook advisor, along with cap-and-gown portraits and a variety of school-appropriate props.
We also encourage you to bring personal props that showcase your personality, interests, accomplishments, or future ambitions. Great examples include sports equipment, musical instruments, letterman jackets, medals, books, or anything else that is meaningful to you.
What should I wear, and how should I prepare?
Everyone: Try to get a good night's sleep before your session. Arrive fresh and ready to go. Hair and makeup should be completed before you arrive.
Gentlemen: We recommend a dark suit, sport coat, or jacket with a dress shirt and tie. We have a limited selection of jackets available to borrow, but we cannot guarantee the fit. A fresh haircut and clean shave are recommended.
Ladies: We recommend a dark top or dress. For the formal yearbook portrait, we can provide a black drape/shawl. If you plan to use the drape, please wear a strapless or spaghetti-strap top that can be easily concealed underneath it.
Please have your hair and makeup done before your session. Keep in mind that your hands may be visible in some of the prop portraits, so a fresh manicure is recommended.
Can I change outfits?
We don't have enough time for outfit changes during your session. However, your session will include several different looks, including your formal yearbook portrait, cap-and-gown portraits, and a variety of props.
Do I need to bring my own cap and gown?
No! We've got you covered. We provide the appropriate caps and gowns for your school.
Can I take my pictures at a campus other than my own school?
Absolutely! You may book your session at any of our available locations. We will have the appropriate school caps, gowns, props, and attire at each location.
Can I bring my parents or family members?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring someone who can help you feel comfortable, make sure you look your best, and share the experience with you.
Because space is limited, please try to bring no more than two guests. We may even take a few photographs of you together!
What is included in my sitting fee?
Your sitting fee covers the time and talent of your photographer and the opportunity to have your portrait included in the yearbook.
Prints and digital images are not included in the sitting fee. Those are available for purchase separately.
What if I need to change or reschedule my appointment?
You can change or reschedule your appointment at no charge using the link at the bottom of one of your appointment confirmation or reminder emails.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
You can cancel your appointment using the link at the bottom of your confirmation email. Your credit card will be refunded.
When should I arrive for my session?
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows you to check in and be ready when your session begins.
How long is my session?
Your session will take approximately 10–15 minutes.
How long will it take before I can see my pictures?
Your photographs are typically ready to view in approximately three weeks, although they may sometimes be available sooner or take a little longer depending on the volume of sessions being processed. If you have not received an email 5 weeks after your portraits were taken, please send us an EMAIL.
How do I view my pictures?
You will receive an email when your private online gallery is ready.
Your gallery will be password protected. Your student ID number will typically be used as the password. If a student ID number is not available, the 10-digit phone number used when the appointment was booked may be used instead.
If you receive an email telling you that your pictures are ready but neither password works, please send us an EMAIL.
How will I know when my pictures are ready?
The person who booked the session will receive an email with a link to the private gallery and instructions for viewing the images.
If additional email addresses were provided when the appointment was booked, those individuals will also receive a notification.
Who chooses the picture that goes in the yearbook?
You do! We strongly encourage you to select your yearbook portrait as soon as possible.
To select your yearbook image, click on the image in your gallery and add it to your cart as your Yearbook Selection. Then continue through the checkout process, even if your cart total is $0.
If you do not select a yearbook image by the deadline, we will select one for you.
Is retouching available?
Yes! Several retouching options are available for each image.
Once your private gallery is available, click on an image to view the available retouching options and pricing.
Can you remove braces?
Yes. Braces can be digitally removed for an additional fee. The cost depends on the number of images you would like retouched.
Please contact the STUDIO for details.
What if I don't like my pictures?
We want you to love your portraits!
If you are unhappy with your photographs and would like to be photographed again, you may schedule a reshoot for an additional sitting fee. If there was a technical issue, we will offer you a complimentary reshoot. Both sessions will remain available for you to choose from.
